Letter of Introduction

Letter of introduction 

  1. I am a sophomore majoring in biology, in regards to future prospects,  i hope to help people with whichever career path i choose, whilst maintaining a proper work life balance
  2. I personally enjoy writing as it allows me to be creative with the words I choose, the structures I compose, it truly is a work of art, and I always try to make my writing sophisticated yet tangible. 
  3. Science texts can come in an array of manners, some more tangible than others, but oftentimes understanding the technicalities within a science text can be assisted with if one has prior education in higher education. 
  4. I’ve had to help others with deciphering scientific studies and I would usually go about it by using visuals and try to oversimplify the terms and overall subject matter to a certain level. For the future I intend to give whomever I am assisting more of a background understanding of the subject to better comprehend the scientific piece of literature/media. 
  5. In order to reach a broader audience in my community i believe adapting it to the linguistic majority along with appropriate dialects will help propagate scientific understanding, furthermore, it is often said that through the use of media such as television, ads, and social media is an optimal way to intrigue the interest of people. 
  6. Two characteristics that I believe make an articulate speaker are confidence and being able to disseminate information with ease and understanding. I believe the measure of a person’s intelligence cannot solely rely on their ability to be articulate but it is a characteristic that is the product of practice. 
  7. I consider my public speaking to be an area i can improve upon as i’m not articulate nor seasoned enough speaking to a crowd or a classroom without having some nervous quivers in my voice or thought fogs that occur as a result of over nervousness, i would like to be articulate in my oration skills.
  8. Standard american english makes it more accessible to people due to the fact that as a species we’ve become more interconnected and with that there is a need for a universal language as in recent time textbooks and of the sort are increasingly becoming exclusively available in english in order to propagate the use of english, furthermore foreign countries have made english a secondary language, an essential language to learn throughout the world, and the reason for this is for better communication among foreign nations and its inhabitants. Science as it is a difficult concept to grasp, further complicating it with characters and other languages would limit its accessibility in comparison to having it in a rugged and simple language like english
